Good looking bike. Bad time to be selling. I really should be selling my Dyna, but I'm doing my best to hold out for a better market. Between the economy and the season. now just sucks.

That's a very clean 99 Heritage. Unfortunately, this is the worst possible market right now to be selling a bike. He would be extremely lucky to get $10,500 for it. My advise would be keep advertising it for $10,500, but if someone comes along with $9,000 cash let them have it.

Check out E-bay and see what they are advertising, then use KBB for bikes to get an approximate value, look in your area paper for similar bikes being advertised. Like others have said right now is not a good time to expect more, but less. The market is flooded with clean bikes that have become a money pit for some (who may be out of work) or even just needing cash to keep a float.
For a bike that is 10 years old now, even though it looks clean and has added chrome, I'd say 8500-9000 if it is offered in cash, you've domne well. Advertise it at 10.5 or best offer, just hold off until you feel comfortable.

A friend of mine just bought one that was set up just about the same for 8k. It was a very clean low mile bike. Hope you can do better,WR.

Sorry to hear Dad has to give it up. That SUX, but a bridge we ALL have to cross, for one reason, or the other.
Unfortunately, as posted, a lot of people are crossing that bridge, because of the economy, jobs, etc.
BEFORE I git 'lambasted', it's NOT for everybody.
I've been a risk taker all my life. H*LL, I still ride a panhead chopper with ONE rear DRUM brake !!!!
So, in order to get "my price", I have "financed" it for them, IF I can afford to 'wait' for the $$. Done it at least 4 times, and I'd do it again. Jus' a bit more cautiously, with THIS economy, right now. But, Yes, I'd do it.
In fact, got one looking at her Suzuki GZ250 right now. WE (Momma and I) are jus' haggling over how much we believe the buyer should put down.
But again, this aint for everybody. BTW, never been "stiffed".
Psst, Think MC right about now.
