Bought my '05 RK off of Ebay. Low miles, great price. Got it in SE Fla. and rode it back to E. TN. I would not hesitate to buy this way again.

First thing I ever bought off of Ebay was a '00 Road King. It was local and a private owner. I would have no problem doing it again.

I'm sure it's like everything else, buyer beware. I just personally choose to try and avoid buying anything off of ebay.

Not only that, you have no idea when the picture was taken. Still, I doubt buying a bike off eBay is any more a risk than buying one through any other means. People have gotten raw deals or ripped off buying in person. The key is to be smart. Check out the seller. Check the bike *thoroughly*. take every precaution possible - no matter how or where you buy the bike.

After a few months of searching for the "perfect" second bike, I found my Deluxe on eBay. It really helped ease my concerns since it happened to be in the Dallas area, so I was able to see it first. It was actually better "in person" than in the ad. Made a good deal and am a happy camper.

Default I bought mine off ebay

I bought my Dyna Low Rider off ebay. It was from a dealer, and had only 1800 miles on it, so I didn't feel like I was risking money on a bad bike.

I bought my Road King off Ebay. After looking for 6 months for the exact bike I wanted, I found it there. It had to be a 98 RKC (last of the EVOs) with low mileage. The one I found was a garage queen that had a whopping 2,500 miles on it. I had to drive 8 hours to pick it up.

An individual was selling it, not a company. I was the only bidder at 10k. I probably paid too much but it was what I wanted and at the time the blue book value was $11,600.

I found out that the guy had switched the saddlebags for some older ones. Didn't appreciate that. He also screwed up the title but made good on it. That cost him $500.

If I had to do it again I would rather not go thru Ebay but I think I got my best possible deal by going that route.
