Default Dealership wont budge a dime on nothing

So I finaly went to the local dealer to make my deal on a new Dyna Wide Glide. The will not budge a dang dime off of anything. Here is the deal.
$14,874 MSRP
$ 925 Freight and Prep
$ 370 Security
$ 180 Doc fees
= $16,349 + 6.3%Tax

I owe $4,758 for my metric. They will give me $3300 trade in plus $500 for
competeters trade in. Which leaves me at +$958 on the trade. New total
$17,307 + 6.3%Tax.

They also have an 09 Dyna Fat Bob for
$15,344 MSPR
$ 0 Freight/Prep
$ 345 Security
$ 180 Doc fees
= $15,869 + 6.3%Tax

Harley is giving an extra $500 for tradeins for 2009 models. So that leaves me +$458 on the tradein.
They are also gving $1000 in accessorys on the 09 Fat Bob.
New total on the Fat Bob
$16,327 + 6.3% Tax

The Fat Bob is the better deal with giving me $1000 extra on the trade in plus the $1000 for accesorys. But I sure like the Wide Glide better. They both have qualitys I like and dislike. So I dont know what to do. It just pisses me off that they will not budge on the 2010 Wide on anything.

On another note. If I can sell my metric to someone, there is a dealer in Bartlesville Oklahoma that has a 2010 Wide in black with no freight/prep or doc fees. MSRP + security + Tax and out the door.

Ideas anyone? I left the dealer with a "thanks anyway"

Time to shop around. Don't settle for the Bob if you really want the Wide Glide, you'll regret it.

The Wide Glide just looks soooo much better. Love the rake and the skinny front tire.

look around and shop at other dealers. There are 5 dealers within 45 minutes of my home, and the difference between them in making deals is huge.

It is impossible for us to tell which dealer at any given time "needs" to move product ASAP and which do not. Got to shop around.

Whatever you do, don't settle for something because of a couple of thousand bucks one way or another. You will end up not be happy with your new bike and that would be a shame. As the other poster said, check surrounding dealers. MOney talks

Good luck

I know what you mean about no budging. Just traded in my 09 Ultra on a 2010 SE Ultra. He came up with a diff of 22,104. I asked if we could do it at an even 22,000. Answer....nope! staying with my first price. This freakin dealer was making around 5 grand on this bike, prob 3 more when he sells my Ultra and wont give a lousy 104 bucks. Would so love to have him need me for something.....like CPR or something. Boy...would I give him a grin!

I will be calling around for sure. Bartlesville isnt that far of a drive.
Mid-Continent here in Wichita is now Alefs. They just built and huge new show room. Which explains why the wont deal. Salina is only about 80 miles away.
