Proper riding etiquette

Proper riding etiquette
My wife loves to ride the Blue Ridge Pkwy. I try to stay around the 45 mph speed limit because she likes to see the sights. My question is this: What is proper etiquette (I had to look that word up) in the following situation?
Other riders catch us as we travel and I always get in the right hand side of the lane when they do (I try to give them plenty of room if they deceide to pass). We have had crotch rockets fly by us and a BMW even passed us on the left in the same lane, we have had many different bikes pass us but never a Harley. We have noticed that every Harley, one rider or a group, has always waited until we pull over at the next look out point.
Is this out of courtesy or some unwritten law?

This is my experience also. It seems the rice rocket guys are always in a rush to get nowhere. The cruiser types (this includes the metrics) usually enjoy the ride more so than the destination. That's how I am.

The metric riders have to get there in a hurry. Those bikes are damn uncomfortable to ride a long distance. Stay right when you can and let whomever pass that wants to pass.

That was exiting to say the least, but did you hear all the scraping that was happening in the sound track. Sounds like a new set of pipes or foot pegs may be in order. I always think that you should enjoy the ride, but if that is what your enjoyment is go for it. I like to see my surroundings and not have to worry about feeling them when you crash into them.

Unless I know your riding skills and habits I would prefer you stay the he!! out of my space. So if you must pass get your butt over in the left lane. I only share lanes with riders I know and never with a cage. So I will be riding in the outside of my lane.
I give other vehicles / bikes the same consideration. I will not pass you in your lane unless you want me to. Even then I prefer to swing over into the left lane to give each of us space.
Call me selfish.

I stay to the right usually if riding alone but I do not wave anyone around. If they wish to pass, ok it's on them. I don't want the responsibility of waving someone by and a cop stopping them because they passed or them get involved in a wreck because I waved them by. I ride at the speed limit. If they choose to go faster, it's on them. I can only be responsible for mine. I know this probably is not a popular outlook but it's what I do.
