Well, I have been in Dover, Delaware for C-5 aircraft school learning a new airframe. Been here since Apr. 5th. I went home May 7th and bought a 2005 Wide Glide. My first HD but I have been riding bikes since I was 17. I put 150 miles on it the day I bought it, rode a little the next morning and then put her away in the barn under a blanket. I am now in my last week here at school and is it bad that the first thing I want to see when I get back is the bike? lol! I have 2 dogs and I am afraid to say, the dogs are going to have to wait until I get back from a short ride! The Wide Glide is an awesome bike, the difference between my last bike , a V-4 Magna and the WG is just unbelieveable...just got to get use to the forward controls, the power, people stopping me to look at it, and that awesome sound!!!

 

Your scoot is more than just a pet, it's your life's blood, after don't we "RIDE TO LIVE".

 

Get out and ride. Tend to the dogs when you get back; they'll understand.

Can someone explain to me what you mean by "the forward controls"?

I am curious as to the thinking behind moving the foot controls so far forward.
Just a style thing or is there a functional reason?
