I have a neighbor whose continued to ride through most of the winter but he has a side car which obviously gives a degree of stability. I'm plenty tempted but don't want to find out the hard way that tires won't track across a slick.
I've ridden a bicycle on ice before and it just went out from under sideways. Will this also happen to a larger MC? I remember seeing in the movie "Girl on a Motorcycle" (1968) where they went riding down a very snowy road to a loggers cabin.
Well you could use something like they did in the late 40s...

After hearing all the people on this site talk about sitting this winter out. And watching motorcycle all riding in the snow. What to do? I could sit on my a$$ all winter, But we have the bikes dug out to go riding. What to do?

I've tried it a couple of times, once successfully, once not. Going down wasn't too bad, I was just turning around in a parking lot, slow speed, just kind of laid it over gently. But the worst part is trying to get it back up when you are standing on ice and don't have any footing. It was a bitch!! JMHO, YMMV, etc.

Kind of funny, actually, how ice seems so much harder than asphalt when you fall on it.

Riding in the snow is good for a complete lesson in front tire washout.

Hey, we'd be more than glad to trailer our snow down to you, we don't want it.
