Default Two-way Radio = Intercom???

Ok... One set of two-way radios, VOX operated with headset and boom mike (extraneous noise eliminator on radio). Why would this NOT work??? Too much noise? (it's a "given" that headset/earpiece fits under helmet)

This seems to be much cheaper and FAR more versital than a dedicated intercom twixt rider and driver. And This passenger I DO need to be able to communicate with. Any reasons any of you think this would not work???

Thanks in advance...

Default RE: Two-way Radio = Intercom???

I was planing on this same set up with FRS radios. That way you can easily add another bike into the set up as well.
