Growing up my Pop always scrubbed his white walls with those SOS pads . It was the only thing that shined on his old beaters.

Simple Green Max and a pressure washer works like magic...makes the white walls white and the black tire black

I use gas,learned it from this forum.Little gas on a rag and the whites are whiter faster than anything.Just keep it off the black.total time per tire is 30,seconds.I recommend no smoking while using this process.

Wesleys works wonders on tires. just make sure you spray it on dry, then scrub with wet brush and rinse well. If it dries on the tire (or anything else for that matter) it will stain it very badly.
