Default sore assss Air Hawk question

I have an 08 Fatboy with a standard seat and on long trips suffer sore *** numbness no doubt like most of us do. I have a 2 up badlander aswell and thats even worse. So Im wondering how good an Air Hawk or something similar is to reduce the numbness. I do have a sheepskin I place on my seat which improves the comfort without doubt but I find I still get numb after a couple of hours riding.
Any thoughts?????anyone.

I bought an Air Hawk last year. It works better than anything else I've tried, even an after market seat...I can't ride a lot longer before the butt pain sets it...eventually it will set in on me whatever the situation but the Air Hawk makes it a lot better..good luck.

There is a post in the sportster section on airhawk seats.
I had one for my Heritage. Used it on a couple rides and sent it back.
It set me up to high if I put enough air in it to get it to do any good and if I deflated it to a comfortable height, I may as well not had it. It just got in my way. Some like them, some don't!

thanks for your comments ridgerunner. I agree with the fact that the numbness sets in after a certain time and nothing helps except a 20min break somewhere when out riding.

I here what you are saying about setting you up to high old dude, even my sheepskin sets me up a little.

i think I'll stick with my sheepskin and save myself the dollars. Air hawks are expensive in Oz.

cheers

I like mine on an 09 Ultra. I've had it since August 09 and have had to play around with the level of inflation. I have to put a lot of air into it, and yes it does raise me a bit, but I don't mind. I got mine here www.rlmotorcycles.com, for $130 on sale.

I bought one and don't use it anymore. I found that it may help for awhile, but eventually I still get the sore butt. It just got in my way. I use the sheep skin and it helps nearly as much.

I've been told that they work best with very little air in them.
