Will save this... I'm a better rider for having to learn how to handle the H-D on tricky surfaces.

Not quite 2 months riding.. I was coming down an incline with gravel. I had to stop and turn left or right. But you guessed it gravel gave way and i ended up across the street in the other lane. luckily no traffic was coming or i would have been hit or dropped it.

I've had 3 drops in my riding career, 2 of them were in my own gravel driveway right after I first started riding. [:@] Hence, the signature below! I was SO mad when I dropped my 3 week old 06 Sporty in the mud...because it had been awhile and I thought the drops were behind me. [sm=headbang.gif] BUT, I'll take a drop over a crash any day!

Yes sir them gravel roads suck. I live about .4 mile off the highway and go down one well I just about idle down it cause it is so damn dusty. It is a white limestone road and as dry as it has been you can not walk down it without stiring up dust. Mine is just a straight road with a 90 degree curve before you get to the house. My bike is black so it shows dust.

only time i've been "down" so far. paved driveway but had lots of loose rocks at the end. stopped the yami put my feet down and was like standing on bearings feet just rolled on rocks and bike went on it,s side. now that i have the harley i am very cautious about gravel
