Some of the questions are written to see if you read the instruction manual. If you look at the test and study the manual you'll see the same wording (don'tknowifit'senglishornot) and see that they want the manual read. Kind of funky but it is a government trying their best.

Then I realized that they have a PDF version on the internet, so I just ended up printing it out. Didn't even read the damn thing until I was waiting for my number to be called to take the test (still two hours of reading), and I only missed one.
I heard that starting a couple of years ago, anyone who was taking the motorcycle written was going to also have to re-take the vehicle written again at the same time. I don't know if that is true or not, just heard it.

When I lived in Ca I was going to add a HazMat endorsement to my CDL and they told me that if I did I would have to retake the written tests for all of my endorsements. Car, Motorcycle, and all my CDL. Would have ended up costing me several hundred dollars so I said "screw it" and went for a ride instead.
