They say that the stock 07 pipes on the touring models have a deeper sound than the stock pipes in the past. Has anybody heard the 07's ? Are they deeper sounding ?

 

Yes, the '07 Ultra Classic I heard run at the dealer I visited Saturday morning definately sounded different than my '03 Ultra Classic.

I notice the outlet of the muffler looked different also.

 

I cannot say from personal experience, but I have been told that the '07 VRSC models sound even punier than the '06. Similar to a "Yamaha Minibike". (Not my words)

 

I've not paid particular attention to the baggers but there is a definite improvement on the '07 Dynas. I posted my initial thoughts about the pipes on my '07 FXDL here.

 

Definitely deeper.....and you can hear the "innards" of the engine. Naturally it is still very tight.......this one had a Stage 1 kit and download. Not sure they needed to install the download with those stock mufflers.

 

Heard an '07 UC yesterday. Much better, but still very quiet. Just a tad of rumble. Makes that first 1000 miles a little better before you upgrade...

The sound from a stock 96 is fantastic....

Little throaty, with a very small growl......

Almost like the HD Touring muffs of the Evo era....

 

The 07 big twins are all louder..........Harley lowered the tranny noise, allowing the exhaust noise to be raised, still below the EPA limits.

 

Yes, Yes they do. Heard them at the dealer rollout saturday. Nice deep rumble.

Was thinking about putting them on the Low Rider. When I went to look at the setup I noticed they have a resonate tube that extends off the crossover pipe.

There is a lot of thought that went into it.
