I did read son and my original reply was stating anyone who said they got 5k of msrp.....so if you say you got 5k off you are full of it

Didn't buy a H-D in 2009 but did pick up the 1125CR for less than 1/2 of MSRP (plus I got it during the financing promo - 48 months at 4.9%). At the dealership I'm at discounts (and the lack thereof) are generated by demand. Haven't heard of too many baggers going for under MSRP. If your looking for a Sporty though, I'm sure they would deal all day long.

Prices are just as bad here in the UK as over the pond. 09 bikes have had the price bumped to the same as 2010, which means an 09 Fatty is going at some dealers for £15,600, instead of £14,500. I've made a number of enquiries, covertly, as to why the price has gone up. The answer I get from the dealers has all been the same. The quality of Finish on the 09 is better than the 2010. Cant see it myself and I've had a real good look. 09's are hard to come by but there are plenty of 2010 bikes on the shop floor. Me thinks its a way of shifting old stock and making a penny. Personaly I got a good deal on my 09 Fatty in Sept 09, Paid £14000, before the mad price rise, got £9.600 for my Dyna, the price I paid for it some 18 months earlier, the backrest, pad and rack of my choice free ( I chose the detatchable so got the indicator kit free and fitted ).

Bought a 2010 Road King Classic in November for list price $17,999 plus $2000 gift card at the dealership. Pretty wet and cold in Washington that time of year. Also had them cut the dealer prep in half.
