Default What handlebars have you put on your 2008 Touring Model?

I am looking for suggestions and really don't want to have to change the wiring. If you have successfully changed without extending the wires, I really would like to about them.

Thanks

A lot of guys on here swear by the Road King Heritage bars. I don't know if they need the TBW extenesion or not. Inexpensive (for an HD part) and have the pullback they need. I went Wild One 508's.

Put 2008 handlebars in search.....you should find half a dozen threads on this subject because no.....a lot of us were not happy with the stock bars.

I switched mine to the heritage style for road king. Easy change and didn't require any wiring, cable modification or nothcing for the TBW. Also, the only HD part I know of that is cheaper than most aftermarket.

I wish they were about an inch longer but they still are major improvment over stock. But if they were longer, they would require wiring modification.

Handle bars for a Road King seem to be a big question with lots of answers. I have 2007 Road King Classic and I noticed when I am doing slow or u-turn type turning, I have to stretch which may have something to do with being 5'8" tall. I have been shopping around for handle bars with a little more pull back and I've tried the Heritage bars and the Reach bar at the dealer Friday and they were suggesting a Pull Back bar and the number is 5591498. I've also looked at the Wild One the 508 model, which I like and seems to fit well on the style of the bike, but I've heard that the wheel barrow type handle bars take getting used to. I am not sure how it works in slow turns. So in the long run, I am asking the same question "What bars for a Road king". I am leaning toward the Reach Bar.
Thanks,
Rod

I just looked up the Heritage style bar and it says "Does not fit '08 ABS-equipped models." The only option I see is part # 56902-08 or the black option but it states the same.

Is there a different part #?
