Default Badlands seat

Hey all, just joined today. I got a 08 Ultra with a quick detach tour pack. When the pack is off, the seat looks huge. I was wondering about the HD Badlands seat, kind of Street Glide like. Does anyone have this seat, is it comfortable. My normal rides are 150 - to 400 miles a time, don't want to sacrifice comfort for looks. Thanks in advance.

I have a Badlander seat that I use when I take my tour pak off. It looks good but ins't all that comfortable. It's a lot firmer than the stock seat. 150 miles would be OK but if I'm planning on going for a long ride, I generally put the stock seat on.

I also have a Badlander for my Road Glide, not bad for a 150 -200 miles like MTGlide said. I put my Corbin back on for the long haul.

When I bought my RK it had a Badlander seat on it. Loved the look of it and didn't mind it all that much on the back roads, but after the first longer trip (200-400 miles) of interstate riding I made it a priority to get a new seat. I now have a Road Sofa for my longer trips and love it. If you ride 2-up withthat Badlander, your woman will kill you in your sleep for it.

That "dying in your sleep" comment would be enough to avoid the Badlander seat as far as I'm concerned!!

I like it for riding around solo...agreed though..more than 100 miles or so at a time gets a little rough on the bottom

I have a LePera Silhouette solo with gel that I use most of the time...extremely comfortable and my happy *** can stay in the saddle all day...when I'm carrying a passenger I put the original Badlander back on...I think it's pretty comfortable myself and I've never had any complaints from any of the ladies even after some fairly long local rides (100-500 miles)...then again, I don't pack any big *** women...I could see where that might make a difference...

Hmm ...

I can't image a passenger being comfortable for more than about 10 miles on the Badlander seat.

I rely on the personal experience of my passengers who have logged many miles on the back of my Badlander...that's good enough for me...
