This exhaust seem to have the ideal solution ! Has anybody seenm them / heard etc? Seems like the idea solution of you like the loud sound but can switch over if in an area that could cause problems with police etc

I've heard that the butterfly systems in those kind of pipes get rusted up after a while and become hard to work or wont work at all. No first hand experience though, but a good idea none the less.

bump - I'd like to hear about actual experience with the butterfly valve after owning / running the pipes for some time (1+ year). Have heard great things about the pipes when first installed, but nothing down the road, so to speak.

Anyone care to share their experience?

I had a system like this on my Mustang. Was great for opening it up when I wanted the noise.

Been running the Peacemakers which have the butterfly valves at the front of the mufflers for about 3 years and haven't had any problem with the valves. The motor in the actuator went out last fall - had to replace the whole actuator unit. Started blowing fuses after that. Tried everything I could to fix the fuse problem - would get it to play nice for a bit then pow another fuse. Ended up taking the old actuator and converted it to manual operation.

The Peacemakers are slipons and you keep the stock headers.

I like the push/pull cable setup on the Patriot. Don't care for the 2 into 1 setup. Not sure about the butterfly being at the back end.

I also run the peacemakers and have had no trouble with them.
