I have had some cheap 100.00 jackets with the cheap silver buckle and zipper. They tended to ride up the back of my neck and zip down the center when I was riding (which bites). My last one I broke down and bought one from Fox Creek and this one has none of the problems I had with other jackets and the leather is thick just in case you go down. It took a while for them to get it right but the customer service was very good. Very good jacket.

I really liked the FXRG from Harley, but about 5 years ago my wife and I went to Street Vibrations in Reno. I seen a cheap knock off that looked just liked the FXRG, with vents and liner an all, for $85. Bought it and still have it today and it looks as new as it did then. HD...made in China....knock off...made in China. Hd $500....knock off..$85. It was a no brainer.

Stonehead in Utica, IL. Near Joliet, SSW of Chicago. They have been the biker leather choice in Illinois for years.

I have only owned the Fox Creek. It’s very thick and very heavy. It’s so heavy that I don’t wear it unless I’m riding, but if that means that it’s going to give me the protection that I need then that’s cool.

I think it’s a very high quality jacket, but mine has exhibited some kind of white stain or growth spreading across it. Fox Creek had me send it in, but they didn’t really diagnose it. They just rubbed it down with some lotion and sent it back with a couple bottles of lotion to use on it. They did say that they would replace it if I wanted them to.

Now for $100.00 you have light armor put into for a riding jacket. Or not

It's like football player going on the field with a t shirt and protection. Take the protection away you have a football player in a t-shirt not ready to play.

Ive got a Hein Gericke jacket that is 15 years old and still in great shape. Made to wear in hot or cold weather . Very thick leather and you cant beat the quality.
