Default Flashing lights and warning signs

Years ago when people actually tried to help others. (remember those days?) when one would pass a speed trap, the driver would flash his (or her) lights at the oncoming traffic to warn of the trap or other hazard ahead. This practice is not used much anymore although I still do but get a bunch of dumb looks from the other drivers who have no idea what it means.

My question is, is there a signal you can use on a scoot to warn other riders?

Pat the top o' your head, with your left hand, in the 'open'/flat position, palm down.

When we are riding in a 'pack', the RC does this, to let everyone behind, know. I do it for 'on coming', whether they know WTF it means or not, is not my concern. I tried.

I am actually surprised how many people have 'no clue' what you are talking 'bout.

I still 'flash' my lights ("CLEAR"), when a semi clears me, and it is safe for him to pull back in.

Psst, Your age is showing, Midnight.

EDIT: WELL shur, post up whilst I am looking for pitchers.

Got ya there Gump. I know where you are coming from. I am an ex- trucker myself. When I started trucking, when you broke down there would be 3 other trucks stop to help before you even got off to the side of the road. Now days they try to take your door off when you get out. I still flash my lights for them to move over also and still try to warn of speed traps or other hazards. I think people are just too busy to care about others anymore.

I must live in years ago. It's still a common practice here.

Actually "busy", or jus' "selfish" ?????

Same old, same old.
Too many trucks, Too few truckers.
Too many bikes, Too few bikers.

I still flash my lights to warn others, and to let the truckers know it's safe to return to the right lane. If the folks I am trying to warn don't know or care about what I'm trying to tell them, well being stupid costs...
