One Harley on the Tail of the Dragon Today...me! (photos)

Glad you enjoyed your trip. I'm so lucky to live in N. Ga. I actually got in 285 miles in yesterday riding Hwy 515 from Ellijay to Clayton, Ga and back to my home in Tunnel Hill. I ride these roads every chance I get. I actually never really appreciated living here that much until I started riding. Hope you get to come back soon.

To the poster about the semi not being on the Dragon. Well, yes that photo was take just after coming off of it but I can tell you that he was most certainly on it. I rode behind him for a while watching him use the entire width to make some turns!! Most of the time the rear tires were in the mud.
What un-nerving is thinking of something like this when there are dozens of fast moving bikes!! This time of year you can see the next turn because the trees are bare but I can't imaging this would be very good in the summer. They should ban semi trucks from this road!
Thanks everyone for the comment!! I document all my rides and will post them as I do them. Again, I appreciate the kind words!!

Well not technically if you count the dragon as just the 318 curves. But that is US129 on the NC side at the bottom of the mountain right before you start hitting some serious curves. A mile up the road from the bridge is the Deals gap motel. I have passed several trucks on that bridge going both ways as it is the last straight section for 11+ miles.
