Star-Tron Enzyme Fuel Treatment
#11
Thanks. I live in South Florida, so I usually don't go very long without riding the bike, but I have some vehicles up north at a cabin that can go a long time without being used. I've been using fuel stabilizer in those, but will reconsider.

I have been using MMO. Marvel Mystery Oil. Just 2 oz. in a 5 gallon tank. I don't use it all the time. Just maybe every other fill up, but it sure makes for quicker starting. This stuff is great for air cooled engines.

Understand that Stabil has introduced a stabilizer to address the negative effects of ethanol. Not sure what has changed from the original but I haven't seen any negative effects from the use of the original formula either.

A friend of mine swears by this stuff -- and gave me a bottle. It's supposed to counteract the harmful effects of ethanol. We have 10% ethanol in most gas here, and Harley's service manuals say the engines can run just fine with that.
I haven't noticed any problems with the gas here, but added some enzyme treatment to my gas anyway. It hasn't made any noticeable difference.
Is this stuff just a waste of money?

Fitch Fuel Catalyst is what I put in everything. I first put it in my 2003 ultra in 2003 with no fuel problems to date. I have it in chainsaws, lawn mowers, diesel tractor, Silverado pu truck , gas & diesel storage containers etc. You just put the enclosed capsule in the tank one time & it's good for life.

I've had trouble with Stabil gelling up on some boat motors I winterize for a couple of friends every year, I only use Sea Foam now.
