Default Anyone live in Colorado

I'm planning a trip this summer for Colorado. Does anyone know of some really sweet roads to ride on ( love the twisties ). I'm going to be mostly in the lower half of the state, but if their is some just can't be missed roads, I might travel a little out of my way.
Thanks in advance Jonnierock

I am originally from CO and there are just too many places to list. Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs is pretty much a must. Take Hwy 24 west into Woodland Park, Divide, Florissant, Leadville, Breckinridge, etc (all great historic tourist towns), and there are plenty of twisty roads up that way if you take some detours off 24. To the south and west of that, there is Rabbit Ears Pass going into Pagosa Springs and then Durango. You won't want to miss that...etc...etc...etc...

Independence Pass US82
Durango to Ridgway US550
Rocky Mtn. National Park US34
Fort Collins to Steamboat Springs US14

If it looks good on the Road Map, it is good, it's Colorado!

I ride w/ a guy that has rode every state including Alaska except Oregon. Somehow he missed Oregon. He's done most of canada also. Most of it 2 0r 3 times. I did 3000 miles w/ him last summer he never pulled out a map.

He said probably the most beautiful place he has seen was Colorado Springs.

Anywhere west of I-25. Some of the best riding in the States.

Thumbs up

If you are going to be in LOVELAND look up and STAY at the "JADE INN". or call JD and Judy @ (970) 667-1753.

These people are INCREDIBLE.

BE VERY careful JD is quite the JOKESTER.

Tell him Bob from Canada sent you. JD is the only guy I know that stands buy the freezer of his fridge so he can keep his beer COLD while he is drinking it......lol

Some of the guys and I are headed to Colorado this year for our annual jaunt, so I'll be watching this one closely. Photos are always appreciated. Thanks BadBob, I'm going to see that view this summer.

Bump to the top for some more input. Come on, there's got to be more folks out there riding the great Rockies... Lets hear from you.
