I wish that you wouldn't have started this thread! Now I've JUST GOT to get out and find another Evo Classic, '86 year model hopefully, and get it all fixed up. I didn't really want to sell the one that I had back in '97 but, I didn't believe that I could turn down what the dude offered me for it. Oh well, chit happens.

Congrats on the "new to you" ride. Now we've seen the "BEFORE" pictures, we'll all be looking for the "AFTER" ones. Let us enjoy your progress with some "as I do it" shots as well. Good luck, you've got a great platform for getting started.

Someone put a lot of money in the paint job years ago, bears fighting on one side of the tank, Eagle on the other, wolves on the front. I cleaned up the engine some at the car wash, needs a polish job..

Im a little confused, 87 FLHS, has a fairing? Police instrument panel?

I like it!!! When I bought mine it was dropped on both sides, rust everywhere, but it ran. I bought what I could afford at the time and fixed it up as I went along. I think your bike looks better then mine did when I bought it. Good luck and have fun!!!
