Sturgis Question

N shade ???????
Yur s'posed to be on the scoot, during 'daylight' hours !!!!!!!!!!
You HAVE TO experience, the Chip, once. It is what downtown, "used to was", years ago. BEFORE they forced it outta town, TO the Chip. (Think LEOs = $$$$$$$$$, and "security" IN Sturgis)
That said, BE PREPARED. It can, and does, git ruff and tuff, in there.
I avoid 'staying' on THAT (east) side o' town. TRAFFIC, "creep 'n beep", AIR COOLED V TWIN !!!!!!!
We use Katmandu, jus' south of Sturgis, right on I90, by the Nat'l Cemetary. Easy on, easy off, go North(West), go South(East). 2 miles to Sturgis. Shuttle bus. Good peeps, Good food, Good SLEEP, Good beer garden.
IF you trailer, which we do (Work van with TOOLS, TOOLS and Mo' TOOLS - Think PORTABLE Shop), you keep your 'rig', right at your campsite.
NOT a lot o' shade, but the "hills" on the east side block the sun in the morn, and those "behind" ya, block it in the afternoon.
It's the Midwest, and as such, it has MIDWEST weather. It can be 101* in the daytime, and it'll be 38* that nite when you ride into the Hills. Or it can be 98*, and 10 minutes later, HAIL STORM rolls thru.
It's South Dakota, "Land of Infinite Variety", for a REASON !!!!!

My first trip to sturgis was last year and we stayed at the chip, it was everything I heard sturgis/the chip was and more. Just a crazy good time! I will be back every year until I cant ride anymore.

Yep it's on the wrong side of town (so is Full Throttle) only one way to get there and in the afternoon and evening can take 30 minutes to an hour to go the five miles there. BIKE GETS WAY HOT! All the good riding is on the other side of town.
