You could mask off my chrome and dip my entire bike in that color. Amazing job.

Not sure if he has shot flake or not. He happens to be a 'biker', of the Ol' School, variety. Have seen several motors he has done.
The frame on the Cap'n, is actually jus' hand polished steel, with a clear coat powder coat, on it.

But DAMMT, those wheels came out **** !!!!! Awesome color and 'even-ness'.

Hey that's totally sick. I love it. Appreciate the photos and the dialogue explaining the process. Very nicely done!

My chrome custom wheels are chipped and peeling. Is there a simulated chrome finish ? Can you do 2 colors on a 1 piece billet wheel?

ya bud there is a chrome powder, but it needs cleared... looks like this... and to answer your other question we can do 20 colors on a part if you want

here is the chrome powder before clear

however being that it is a metalic powder it does require a clear... we now use a accrilic clear... any clear will dull the surface it is over. but the new accrilic clear we use is made for polished and shined surfaces...
this customer wanted more of a rubbed alum finish to it, so we used a glass clear to dull it down a bit...
this tank has been primered, dents fixed, chrome powder, and glass clear, then wet sanded and buffed...
dents are filled with brazing... then sanded... then primed
primered

chromed

after clear, and wet sand/buff

on the bike

Joe, that chrome/powder coating looks really great (AWESOME ).

Chrome powder coat over a brass (brazed) filler, you are the best! Quote: tank has been primered, dents fixed, chrome powder, and glass clear, then wet sanded and buffed... dents are filled with brazing... then sanded... then primed
primered"

Joe, the car that The gas tank (visualized) is on the car reminds me that the wagon would look really great with a powder coated chrome air scoop hiding a blower! You know, just to get the groceries in style.

Since the chrome powder coat needs a clear coat does it hold up well on rims?
