Default Full Face or Modular (Shoei or Schuberth)

I am getting more bloody confused the more I head into the bike shops trying to buy a new ff helmet - I am reading the pros / cons of both and it seems that if you spend the extra few €uros / Dollars you can get real top quality modular that offers nearly the best of both worlds and offering the same protection - I know some modulars do not offer this but it seems if you look at the Shoei or the "worlds best" Schubert C3 they are as good if not better than some of the ff helmets - Anyway my question is does anybody know anybody who has either of these helmets and would they agree with the manufacturers statements?

Ich glaube nicht, dass irgendwelche Amerikaner in der lage sind, dieses zu beantworten
Ich würde das Shoei selbst wählen

All euros should know German

anywho, I doubt you'll get many answers in here on that. Schuberts are rdiculously expensive, so I'd go with the Shoei's

Reading the reports they are supposed to be the very best around - Look I am going to keep the helmet for a long time so I feel to spend 350 / 500 - over 3/4 years 150 dollars is very little to have the very best - would you now agree but is the Schuberth really that good. you know Schu , dodgy german manufacturers!!!!

The Schuberts are what Schumacher wears.

Get a half helmet. A full face absent really cold weather is a real bozo looking helmet. Oh, sorry, I didn't realize you liked looking like a dorky power ranger.

oh, and I don't trust modulars. They say the lock mechanism will never fail, but I figured if I ever bought one and landed face first, it would come open. A solid full face is what I would get.

I agree with Schu as many tyears ago I remember trying to cut a car in half with my bike and hit the kerp face first with my ff and I walked away without a scratch (helmet was fuked though) but my ugly mug was in one piece - Sorry but ff or modular for 90% of riding unless its too hot - I have a HD Jet 2 I bought about 5 months ago but want a ff or modular -
