Full Face or Modular (Shoei or Schuburth)
#24
I actually had a potentially fatal crash and my half helmet saved my life. Not everybody is a dork. You guys who haven't survived one are only speculating. I can tell you what it's like. And a full face helmet is only for dorks. Or the race track. I'll give you that.

Very strange attitude to full face helmets indeed - Maybe you going around with the tin hat on makes you the perfect dork wanting to be the real hard man in "not caring" about your head - well each to their own I suppose but I dont know where you are coming from on the "dork" side but maybe you should have a good look in the mirror and reconsider your very obvious stupid "observations" - I asked a simple question on full face and modular not - Grow up!!!!

I have two modulars and a half helmet. I only wear the half around town. A fulmer and a zox. They are great to open up to chat with other riders at stop light or slow speeds. Also to let some air in at a stop. I have always had full face helmets before and the modular is agreat improvment.
Both my modulars are less expensive but offer more protection than a half helmet. To each his own - but this is what makes me feel safe and comfortable. The fulmer is a better fit for me.

Have you even tried both on? That will tell you more than whether one has passed more lab tests than the other if it doesn't fit you. And if the Shuberth fits, buy it cause you want it.......badly!

I'm ordering the Shark Evoline in matte black. The DOT model is an updated improvement from the European model. Excellent reviews from mags and users. Enlightening videos on line also if you're interested.
