Default Burned pant leg

I ride my 2006 FLSTCI to work just about everyday, today I noticed that I have burn marks on my right lower leg of my slacks. I've noticed it gets fairly close to the exhaust, but obviously it's even closer than I thought. Any tips on how to keep my slacks from melting on the exhaust? I'm thinking some kind of strap to keep them tight around my boots, but I'm open for suggestions.

Saw a woman riding a custom bike with an open chain primary. She went old school and cheap school.
Rubber band around the pant leg over the boot.

Hope that helps...

You might find some straps at the local bicycle shop.
Course, they might glow in the dark and someone would say something

If they are tall boots you could always tuck your pant leg inside the boots.

Wear some chaps[sm=icon_stickpoke.gif] Yeah the bicycle straps around your leg would work.

Dude, the 70's are over. Dump the polyester. j/k

On a Heritage Classic if you have the heat shields installed this should not be a problem. Make sure you don't have an exhaust leak and make sure the heat shields are installed.

A buddy was riding his Road Glide to work and he said the wind ballooned his pant legs up to his knees. It was a mental picture I did not need to have for the rest of the day.

But, I would wear chaps over dress pants if for no other reason than to not have to pick dead bugs out of them.

I do the chaps over work cloths, really hot this time of year but no bugs or burns.

Get some boot blousers from the army surplus store. They are available in many different styles and will keep pants tight against leg.
