National Ride to Work Day--Did you?
It's 5:03 a.m. CST, I'm at work and the bike is outside. Did you ride to work today?
If you're lucky enough to not have to work, did you ride today?

RE: National Ride to Work Day--Did you?
Still too inexperienced to face the throng of masses headed in @ 7am at breakneck speeds. As far as that goes, I still have problems making a smooth right hand turn off a stop sign. Stop lights tend to have more room and aren't a problem, but sharp rights kill me.. hehe
I went on a night ride last night for the first time (just down the highway a bit to an open lot) and found that I prefer not to ride at night for the time being also, unless I can recruit a few more bikes to go with me. Jacksonville traffic is just too careless and unobservant for a new rider overall.
I'll catch it next year for sure!

I ride most everyday it's not raining cats and dogs when I leave. Funny thing is, I don't mind getting wet during a ride but don't want to start out wet. Go figure !

Find a school parking lot that's deserted , like after hours and go ride it. Use the painted lines like they were streets and stoplights. That way, you have lots of room to "miss" your turn and not get in any trouble. Also, look where you want to go and not where you want to miss something.. Look down - go down Look through the turn, go through the turn. After a couple of hours of riding the parking lot, you'll be amazed at your progress. If something bothers me or if I feel I did not do as well as usual, I'll go back to the parking lot drill.
Good luck
