If I were going to trailer both baggers cross-country in unknown conditions, a 7x12 tandem would be my personal minimum.

I'm in absolute agreement. Big fan of safe trailering here. All my trailers are twin axle also. Ride better, carry safer, easier on the tow vehicle, the trailer, and the load overall. I was commenting more on size than capacity...I should have been more clear..

Thumbs up

Go with the popular 7X12, stagger the bikes so that the one on the side with the man door is farthest back. Also go with the e-track down both sides and put some in the middle, that way you can move your straps anywhere you want without having them extended to far.

For those hauling two baggers, what is the distance from the wall to the center of your wheel chock. I'm having chocks put in my 7x16, staggered but looking for advice for minimum wall clearance. Thanks

So what brand and size did you go with? E track...good choice. Any interior lights in the trailer?

It might be best to load the bikes you plan to carry into your trailer with sufficient room between them and the wall then and mark the postion for the wheel chocks. Trailer interior dimesions vary and what works for a Haulmark may not work for a Wells Cargo of the same size.

[quote]really depends on handlebar width.

I measured and had a little less than 40 inches so told the trailer guy minimum of 20 inches to center from the wall. Can't load the bikes to place them due to all the snow right now and had to have the trailer done. Working on getting the snow all cleared out so I can get to warmer weather.
