It is my 401k. When everyone else is crying about theirs tanking, I am riding.

It is so much more than a toy, it is so much more than transportation.

Jan 1 I was out getting my therapy. Did I tell you it was 17 deg.

That is not transportation or a toy, it is ... well it just is. If you don't know it you're not living.

 

Mine is my primary way to get anywhere I want to go. I guess I could borrow my wife's car if need be, but I don't have a car of my own. And I wouldn't have it any other way!

 

just a toy - a fun toy

 

My Corvette was a toy, my 63 Comet was a toy, and football is just a game.

But my bikes are my passion. It can get me to nirvana or to the next state while being in nirvana. It a religion. It's part of a brotherhood. I get withdrawal symptoms when I haven't ridden in a while. If my bike is broken I work feverishly to fix it so I can ride but at the same time I may go 2 weeks without riding just knowing I can if I want to.

Pilots fly planes, jets, and helo's. Rider's do the same thing with our bikes. We don't pick a destination we pick a direction and go from there. Stopping only if we get a good feeling about a spot. Maybe stay the night maybe stay the week. Never know.

Freedom is riding and riding is freedom.

 

 

Therapy

 

My HD is a toy. My 4x4 truck is a toy. My 300M is a toy. My class B van is a toy. When you're retired, they're all toys...

 

right now it's a tease.

i guess mine would fall into the "toy" category but once spring and summer roll around...if i'm going somewhere i'm going on the bike so does that change my answer?

 

My HARLEYS are multi purpose. Transportation. Toy. Stress relivier. Hobby. Life style. Money pit. Companion. Friend. There when nobody or nothing else is. The thing that has been constant in my life since I was 18 years old. Except my Mom. She is 90 years old.

 

Well I have just got my bike,its a 2008 1200C stage 1 bike
and its my first bike in 8 years but my bikes have always been toys but ride them as much as I can.
