My bikes are not toys....they're an intrinsic part of how I cope with life....they get ridden to work, and everywhere else, all the time, except when ice and snow are on the ground (and anybody who says they regularly ride in snow is bullshitting or talking about the occasional skiff, not real winter)...not even 1% ride here in snow.

More of a toy than transportation, although I enjoy riding it into work or on a quick errand every once in a while. I enjoy driving my car too much for the bike to be my primary mode of transport.

Transportation as much as possible but I love riding it. I only drive when I have to.

I see you also live in Vegas. So you know we are a city surrounded by open desert. When I was younger my 'toys' were dirtbikes. Street bikes were my main, and quite often only, means of transportation for most of 6/68 through 2/2001.

Now I only get a chance to ride a few times a week. But as you are aware, living here means those 'few times' are almost always decent riding weather. Especially considering what people face living/riding in other parts of the country.

But the best time to ride is late night, or early mornings, during the summer.
