The cruise control on Harley bikes are like the difference between car models that have cruise control and some that don't. It's considered a luxury item. Like the bikes among the touring bikes that have a factory radio and the ones which don't.

If you're riding alone, the little "twisty" throttle tensioner will work mostly OK --if you take road trips with others, you'll drive them crazy, when leading!

It makes long trips much more pleasurable. I wouldn't leave home without it...!

That thing damn near got me killed! You can't just roll off the throttle in an emergency...

Love it on my 02 RKC! My buddy has an 07 Electrglide Classic and his bike doesn't have it. I think it was standard on 02 RKCs.

Yeah, I learned to use just enough tension to hold it. Cruise Control is admittedly a lot safer!

I have it on my Ultra, rarely use it and then only to rest my hand for a minute or less. I have throttle locks on other bikes and they work just as well for me.

Love my cruise control.

Can drop the right arm, can ride with just fingertips on the grips, can just roll down the highway and bump up or down with the thumb.

Great on long rides between stops and long days on road trips.
