Default Not a Trailer Thread But ?????????

I am trailering to FLA for a couple weeks. Yeah I know, Blah blah blah , but it is 20 degrees out and 2 feet of snow on roads,

I read lots about people "Dropping" their trailers and trucks and riding as soon as they reach warmer weather.

Looking for ideas of where they drop them, ie local motel, a garage, the mall, etc etc. I know a friend who left his at an airport but he said it was extremely expensive for two weeks.

Might be some good ideas, or HORROR STORIES we could share

The wife and I went to AZ for a few weeks, and didn't want to fight the Nashville traffic. We trailered past the spots we'd rode through before (boring), and left it at the hotel we stayed at the end of the day. We asked and they said to just park around the back out of the way. No biggy.

How about a storage facility?
Get yourself some locks and take off!
Up here in the NW they have places that rent "first month $1.00 no strings!"
Rented one big enough to put two trailers in at a time while we were outfitting them to haul our bikes back home two years ago!

Although this company shows no FLA locations, maybe some other similar company.
Hell, maybe some forum member here has some room for your trailer!

Greetings from Alaska...I for one don't care what a person has to do to get the opportunity to ride at this time of the year! If it means trailering it or running alongside it while wearing a pair of Sorels, gotta do what you gotta do. As far as where to dump a trailer there were some guys from Colorado Springs that had brought their scooters up here to Alaska in an inclosed trailer but needed a place to stash it. I had spoke with them via email a time or two so I told them to bring it by my place. They left their truck and trailer there for about 8 days while they toured the state, then they returned, left their bikes got in their truck and went fishing for four more days. These guys were so happy that they wanted to pay me! I could not accept their money, just would not have been cool I told them that one day the wife and I would be in their neck of the woods and would like the same treatment. Thats the way things should be!

Obviously I made a couple life ong friends.

What route are you taking?

I'm about 8 miles off of 95 (near routes 42 and 70 in NC).

You can leave it at my place if you want. May still be cold in NC, but you'll ride out of it pretty quick.

If that doesn't work for you, maybe a Harley Dealer will let you leave it in a parking lot. They have room this time of year.

Thanks for the offer, I may take you up on it, I will be travelling the I-95.

Now I just have to convince the wife to go to FLA for a couple weeks instead of Cuba. It will be a hard sell.
