Not trying to be a d*ck...

I lived in California and loved everything you're talking about, but left in 1999 and never looked back. Crap like this drove me away..."Starting Sunday, cash-strapped California will dig deeper into the pocketbooks of wage earners -- holding back 10% more than it already does in state income taxes just as the biggest shopping season of the year kicks into gear....Think of it as a forced, interest-free loan: You'll be repaid any extra withholding in April. Those who would receive a refund anyway will receive a larger one, and those who owe taxes will owe less."
This is double BS because as I understand it, last year the state gave IOUs to folks it owed income tax refunds to instead of money. If those bastards in Sacramento can reach into your pocket, take your money and then confiscate your guns then you're nothing more than a glorified subject. No thanks, I don't care how nice it is.

been out here for close to 10 years now & love it, actually considering a move down that way to Topanga in the future
people come here literally from all over the world to ride the PCH for good reason

SoCal aint for everyone that's for sure. Most can't handle it. I get tired of it once in awhile, but a ride like the one yesterday makes it all go away. The sun and the bikes were out at Neptune's Net and Rock Store.
