Personally, love to visit CA (especially northern), but I think I'll stay here in sunny Minnesota. Sure the below zero temp's and 2 month riding season do put a damper on the riding experience. But when we do get to ride, we REALLY REALLY appreciate it!

I have a lot of family and friends in California and I like to visit, but I love Virginia. Average winter high is about 40F and I ride all year. Cold spell has hit us hard and we're down into the 30s, but I'll be riding again soon in the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Shenandoah Valley, or maybe at the ocean. Oh yeah, handguns are ok and many thousands of us carry legally and enjoy sport shooting. Stories of how that stops crime here are not uncommon, but surpressed in the news.

Well.....it's warm here in NJ today....28 degrees right now!! OMG This sucks!!
And if you want to whine about gun laws read up on NJ gun laws!!
The ONLY guys who can have guns are the guys who are going to rob you, drug dealers, kids, any good old boy on the corner......
You can get one in NJ....you just have to keep it "locked" in your house so when you get robbed in the middle of the night...by the time you find your keys and your bullets you already took one to the head.
Or you can shoot him but he must be inside the house and have you cornered in your own house. If you shoot him and YOU had a means to escape...your guilty of manslaughter because you didnt have to shoot him....you could have run away!!!!!

After you read all this..., I'm sure you feel much better about where you live....!

I feel your pain.. at least with the cold... I'd love to live in cali but.. even with all the bennies.. my guns, my dogs.. and all that liberal I know what's best for you bs keeps me away..
I have more than one gun here.. and more than a couple rounds.. so as much as I miss the fine two legged scenery and year round t shirt ridin' weather.. here I am in southeaster Pa.. at a balmy 22 degrees right now.. Amazingly enough, as "liberal" as PA seems to be, it's not a bad state gun wise..
I guess I'll just have to put that many more miles on during the summer to try and catch that much more scenery to make up for times like now.. damn, life just ain't fair

Bingo, and plenty of ride time to boot. I don't give a **** about the Sac politicians. I work, pays my dues, pays too much for gas, but today high was 78...

I'll take my chances in Commiefornia. I live in the Republic of Washington & short of the state income tax, we suffer from much of what SoCal does without the weather! 9 years & counting til I retire in the desert of SoCal.......I'm jealous of all of the great weather reviews! Can't wait to leave the wet republic & retire in the hot republic!
