Default Thunder Beach....Anyone going

OK last year we stayed at the Orgin Condo there in Panama City Beach, the location was great, right next door to Sharkys Beach Club. I was just wondering where everyone else stays and what deals are out there. We are making the trip back there in the spring, I am planning on making our reservations in the next two weeks.

Who all is going down this spring.

Myself and 2 possible 3 more. This is our 1st trip to thunder beach. I've been to Myrtle beach bike week many times til this year I refuse to spend my vacation money where the city counsil don't really want me to.
I too am planning on making some reservations in the next couple weeks.
I took the whole week off for the festivities.

Went last year, we won a free room at the Sand Piper. We had a ball but can't make it this year. It is defiantly on my must do again list.

I was thinking of going this year. Do you think you might be able to get a better price on a hotel room if you just wait and get one when you show up (instead of making a reservation, since they probrably won't give much of a discount knowing you are booking in advance). Are there many No Vacancies during the rally or are there still alot of open rooms?

We saw a lot of Vacancy signs and walk in specials while we were there, I would say that if you are not picky about your room you would be able to get one there. The place we stay has a special going on now, stay 3 nights get the 4th one free. I like the peace of mind not having to worry about a room when we get there.
