Ya know, this is quite an important point...the cellulose in the paper is damn near as abrasive as the insect bodies....a cloth or micro-fiber fabric won't do nearly the damage as the gas station window wipes (which are intended for glass, not plastic windshields).

Any type of liquid wax or mirror glaze. I wouldn't use any type of paper towel products, I always use cotton based towels or the popular microfiber towels. I've been using a spray wax called Protect All and it works great on all surfaces.

Honda cleaner works great on windshields and face shields. Cleans and protects. Great all around cleaner for paint and chrome too. I have used it for years on all motorcycle surfaces. Not the dull stuff, just the shinny stuff.
Good Luck

The same thing I wash my bike with...Palmolive dishwashing detergent and hot water. Cleans the love bugs off, and doesn't mess up the paint or chrome, or windshield! Plus it's cheap.
