I've seen it permanently cloud windshields.

I personally don't see the point in using rainx on a motorcycle windshield, because if a windshield is fitting properly you're going to be looking just over the top, not through the windshield. Enough air is deflected upward to keep wind and debris that way....and if you've ever gotten stuck on on a snowy day with a too tall windshield you are in for a real treat....as you ride down the road like a damn meerkat trying to see what's going on.

I know a guy that uses rainx on cheap plastic safety wrap-around glasses....throws them away when they get eventually ruined, but he likes to stick his head up in the wind so the rainx treated glasses get the water droplets blasted off them.

A regular wax is fine...I use McGuires cause I'm exceptionally lazy.

When cleaning the windshield use vertical strokes, other wise the horizontal strokes could cause an effect like bifocal lenses.

I use windex and paper towels I havent had any scratching at all. I also use wet paper island towels at the gas stations on road trips everytime i stop. I just dip them in the bucket ,, scrub,, than wipe dry.

I have a quick detatch HD windshield.

I use Bug Melt by PPC.Let it soak and then I wash it in the bath tub with a good car wash soap.I've been using the Harley Glaze wax on it.No scratchs.Like said above, use vertical strokes when washing or polishing to avoid swirl marks.

I found this out the hard way.

Anything that repairs scratches to Lexan once they're in there?

Not that I know of....consider them honorable scars of battle.

You should be able to find somebody that can replace the windshield to fit the mount it's currently on. Much less costly that way, and you can get it the perfect size this time.

Nothing works better than a damp towel on your windshield. Let it sit for an hour and the bugs wipe right off. Any good over the counter plastic cleaner will remove any grime or grease.

just get some Plexus......and don't use the paper at a gas station to wipe it off.
