I took a break from college football and was able to get in a short 40 mile round trip in today. I went to Chattanooga, TN and visited my favorite store.....Harbor Freight. I love that place! The weather in N. GA today is about 40 degrees, and not a cloud in the sky at the moment. Anyone else get in a little ride on 1/1/10. If feels good with it finally being January because Spring is that much closer! I can't wait till the end of February when I go back to Daytona for my 2nd bike week! Anyone else get in a ride today?

The local dealer here was sposed to have their polar bear run today. I told my wife on the way up to the parents "and I bet you someone showed up with no helmet to that"

Upper 60's and sunny as can be. I've gone on 2 little rides so far today and will go out again for a longer one this evening.

 

Too cold, snowed last night, roads salted till completely white and I had to work. No ride for me.

 

I put over a 100 miles today. Mid 50's in East Texas. I made sure to start her up early this morning so I could wake up all the drunkard neighbors that woke me up at 3 am shooting off fireworks. LOL

 

Yes .... Got 40 miles out on some local roads.. Was over an hour since I wasn't on the freeway.. It was really nice to exercise the bike on new years.. I would have gone longer but I have my son today. I had a friend take him for a few so I could to ride..

Did almost have a mishap.. Some idiot had a bunch of junk not secured in his pick up. A full size door flew off right in front of me and I barely got out of the way in time. I was awake after that.

 

once the frost and ice cleared i managed to get a few miles in. just above freezing so the wind chill was a bit fierce. salt washed off when i got back. cant waste a dry day when i'm not working....one day closer to spring

I was going to ride up to Clarksville on the interstate with dlnp22 to meet up with some friends 70 miles away and then ride around in KY with them for a while. Nate and I wussed out after 15 miles. haha Fingertips were too cold (like, incredibly painful from the cold). I did get in around 60 miles locally (and saw 3 other riders while out!!) but decided I needed to cut it short and go home and thaw out. Very very cold outside!!! It was in the 20's earlier when I was riding but with the wind chill, it was in the low teens. It was freakin' cold!!!
