Ipods on your bike?
How do you all carry your Ipods on your bike? do they make a mount for the Ipod, or do you stick it in your pocket. Just got myself an ipod and looking for a way to mount it so i dont have to dig it out of my pocket to change tunes.

I have an MP3 Player that I have connected to a neck chain, and ear buds as well. That works well when getting off the one bike... it comes with me. But on my other bike with fairing and radio, I have my GPS/MP3 Player mounted with a RAM Mount and an audio plug into the bike radio/amp.

Do a little searching and you'll find lots of threads and posts on this topic. It all depends on what you want to spend. I zip tied the belt portion of an IPOD holder to my handlebars and just clip it into place when I want to use it. Others have spent lots of money on slick, custom designed mounts. Do not try and mess with your IPOD while it's in your pocket AND you're in motion! I had a friend who nearly killed himself and is still really messed up because he tried this.

I have a handlebar type chrome mount with Velcro backing tape; works great. I just saw today on the Harley Davidson website a tank mount pouch, magnetically attached. It looks like it would work well. I sometimes just stick the iPod in my pocket, if I choose a previous made playlist so I don't have to mess with the controls while riding.

yeah, I really would like to have it in plain sight so all i had to do was touch the buttons without digging around in a pocket..would like to easily switch between the radio and playlist on it without wrecking.
thanks for the input.

I put my iPhone in my jacket pocket. I create a playlist before I head out and start it up. The iPhone earbuds have a volume/pause switch on the cord just below the left ear which makes adjustments easy.
Another trick I found on a recent road trip is using the voice commands on the Motion X Drive GPS ap to give you turn directions through the earbuds while riding. Great for a trip and keeps you from having to look at a GPS or map while trying to ride.

I use an elastic arm band ipod holder that I attach to my seat (either bike) in front of me between my legs. It is accessable plus is shock mounted via the seat. I take the ipod with me when I park
