Not a good time to invest in any so-called 'luxury' enterprise. Unemployment keeps increasing, good-paying jobs continue to be shipped overseas, other countries (China, India, etc.) are racing ahead of us in creating new technologies, houses are no longer substitutes for ATMs, and the average citizen is becoming more cautious about living on credit (read saving more, charging less). Look for more Harley (and other) dealerships to fold, and for Harley to continue reducing production to meet decreasing demand. Not being negative, just looking at the facts. Again, not a good time at all.

Hell If I had 3 mill buying an HD dealership would be the last thing on my agenda. Moving to a warm tropical island with native ladies would be my f irst.

Before anyone has dreams to open a dealership...They might want to work at one for a while...I have been working in the industry long enough to see The Harley riders that used to be able wrench and build their own bikes and rode no matter what the weather was kind of slip into the past...With the new crowd of Harley owners it is a whole different ball game...You might consider learning about being a baby sitter or running a day care center...All one has to do is read these forums to see all of the pissing and moaning about Harley s and their dealers...I have seen a lot of people come and go in this kind of work...You have to have a genuine love for it to stay with it.

Exactly. No way I'd get in the adult "toy" business right now, regardless of the upfront cost.
