Never heard of that one, but like everyone said you should be good if you have your endorsment and a CC with like $2500 or more limit.
I like what the one guy siad about passing the test and getting a 1000 sport bike. Hell I have known so many guys that just have there temps for years and ride 1K sport bikes. In Ohio you can get you temps over and over each year as long as you pass the computer based test each time. I head that 70% of Ohio riders only have there temps-not sure how true that is? I got my endorsment a month after getting my temps so I could ride at night, ride a passenger and ride on the freeway and not have to worry about geting busted if I get pulled over.

When I took the road test in '86 I made sure that the bike I was on was considered "Heavyweight Motorcycle". As some have allready pointed out, back in the day, if you rode a smaller displacement bike (cutoff was 500 - 650cc can't remember which) then that is all you were licensed for. But I would hazard a guess that every licensed HD rider on this forum is licensed for a "heavyweight" bike.

Utah went nuts with their endorsement criteria. Here's a cut and paste from the handbook:
- If you test on a motorcycle/scooter 90 cc or less, you will be restricted to riding motorcycles/scooters 90 cc or less.
- If you test on a motorcycle/scooter 249 cc or less, you will be restricted to riding motorcycles/scooters 249 cc or less.
- If you test on a motorcycle/scooter 649 cc or less, you will be restricted to riding motorcycles/scooters 649 cc or less.
- If you test on a motorcycle/scooter larger than 650 cc, you will not be restricted, you will be authorized to ride any size motorcycle/scooter.

IL would go into total ripoff mode if they graduated it like that , prolly $25 for each jump up the ladder , not only at initial endorsement , but allso each renewal!!

When Wisconsin started with motorcycle licenses back in the 60's, if you were already riding all you had to do was ride in and show them you had more than 250 miles on your bike and bam you had a license.
