Oh, I missed a couple of questions.

The cost for the sidecar is $3500 base price. The options raise the price (windshield, tonneau, dog seat, leather interior, etc). Shipping was about $500 (it comes in a huge crate). Plus I had powder coat costs, custom headlight, etc. It came to about $5k. Installation was very reasonable, under $1k (it's a lot of work). You can see pics and read more at the company's website (I get nothing for doing this):

Even without the quick-disconnect, you should be able to remove the sidecar in around 20 minutes. It's just 4 bolts, once everything is rigged up. The basic brackets stay on the bike. Very simple. I'll post detailed pics in a few days.

There's a lot of room for storing stuff, plus you could put a rack on the trunk (or fender etc). I'm told the guys at the dealer had fun riding in it (I asked them to thoroughly test it out). And yes, the mounts include hydraulic dampers.

It looks great. I've been wanting one for awhile now so I can ride my dog around too. Don't have the coin now so the dog will have to settle for those rides in the truck. Let us know how it handles.
