Sportster in the summer of 95...from what I remember I was extremely nervous as I didn't want to dump the guys ride...I remember it feeling too small for me...couldn't get back to him soon enough.

1976 Super Glide Liberty Edition. It was an AMF, but it was still a Harley. The year was about 1980, and I promised myself that one day I would buy a Super Glide. That day has finally come!

Late 60's or early 70's Sportster. AMF and shifted like a Brit bike on the right and braked on the left. Nearly killed myself riding it but I loved it.

1974 440. Still got it, but the pull rope is broken and the engine is likely seized from sitting. It (snowmobile) ate spark plugs like you wouldn't believe.

First Harley I ever rode was a 1981 Lowrider.Must have been around 1985 or 1986.A friend of mine had it.I would have been around 18 yrs old.I finally got my own last spring!

In 1988 I had ridden my Kaw 1000R Ninja from Illinois to Rocky Mountain NP in Colorado. Up on Trail Ridge I spoke to a guy with a Sportster. I mentioned that I had never ridden a Harley and he offered that we try each other's rides. That Sportster felt like a Kaw 450 or something compared to the power and ability of the Ninja. Couldn't wait to get off it and get my real ride back. He commented on the power and ability, and brakes.
I sold that Ninja after another season. There were times it was like aircraft in some situations, man, like something outta Top Gun, but eventually I tired of the inline four and sold it. I bought an 09 RK March this year. No interest at all in anything non HD now.
