Would you buy a HD Dealer Rental?
My local dealer (San Diego HD) has a '09 RK w/22k miles on it that has come out of their rental fleet. Salesman states that the rentals are maintained to a higher standard than just the scheduled maintenance. Bike looks good and I can get it for a good price, but I am concerned that its a former rental. God knows who 'rode her hard and put her away wet'!
Any opinions?
Thanks

I've read in here people ride rentals both ways,, and also some who ride there own bike hard everyday... so in a way whats the diff....
I'd make sure if U get one they include the warranty and even get the extended one with the money u save and ride her like U stole her..... as others do.....just my .02.....

If it comes with some kind of warranty, I don't see a problem. As long as you're happy with the price.

Buying [I]anything[I] mechanical has its risks. Consider this: With so many responses saying "no way," you know your competition is substantially less than the bikes that are part of the 'demo fleet' that only go out in guided groups. From my perspective, if you like the bike, and it still has a warranty, and the dealer will show you his maintenance records, & there's nothing in the records to scare you, I'd lean on him hard & get the bike I want for thousands less than list.
BTW, contrary to the "rode it like I stole it" crowd, I've always rode others' bikes like I'd have to fix them. Lotsa good rides, no regrets, no enemies.
Bottom line: "Youse pays your money and takes your choice" [wasn't that pronounced, "cherse"?]
Good luck in whatever you choose!

I would buy a rental. I haven't, but I would.
Maybe I'm more mature than the people that try to tear up anything that is not theirs because I treat rental vehicles and equipment the same as I treat my own. Besides, if someone really wanted to raise hell on a bike, I doubt if they would rent a Road King.
