Just made the purchase. I cant wait for them to come. I took the black ones. My only complaint is that the Cowbell is lower than the Trumpets. Too bad they couldnt figure out a way to get the cowbell a bit higher to be in line with the trumpets and to cover that darn ugly screw.

I've got to get me a pair of those. The other day I was using my stock horns on the freeway and couldn't even hear them over my pipes!

Im excited about the purchase but I do have concerns.
1) The sound coming out of the horn appears would be very directional as apposed to omnidirectional. My riding experiences proves that I use the horn more for people making lane changes into my lane as apposed to those in front of me. I may want to pick up the nose cones. That should solve it.
2) The design seems a little flawed in that the Cowbell is oddly lower than the Trumpets. It would look so much better if the cowbelll was either repositioned 2 inches higher. Or, 2 inches higher with an offset to the right to make the mounting bolt still accessible. Ill be playing with this things when I get it for sure.

I just added the Howard's Horns to my FXST. There is good news and bad news. The Bad news is that it was a b*tch to install. The good news is that I was able to install it to look the way I wanted to. If you follow the instructions you will not be able to shift your bike as the cowbell comes out so far your feet cant rest on the left peg because the horn is pushing your leg away. Also, if you install it according to the directions the horn electrical cables are not long enough to reach. Finally I also had to griind down the bolt area on the Compressor.

I completely remodified it. It required me to cut part of the bracket off with a Dremel (I love that thing)

The cowbell is now higher towards the gas tank, which is what I wanted.Below is the Pic

Are there any recommendations on installing the Relay? Is the horn much louder with this relay installed?
