Neat conversion.

I've seen Harleys that would throw you over the handlebars also when the timing was a little off. Hurt worse than a hog bite when that thing raked you up the side of the leg when it kicked back also. Thank god for electric start

Default Great Links

Very informative, I like to read this stuff, and love the concept of competitive bidding for procurement! I bet the R&D and testing was all on the MOCO's dime also.

Now its no bid contracts and cost overruns, getting stuck with stuff that don't work. Them were the days, and those were some interesting bikes!

Thanks for the link

No $hit! I'd like to see an Ultra with that engine. Could you imagine cruising buy a Gold Wing gathering with that!

Looks like a ton of man hours and Fab work to make it fit. I bet thats his pride and joy. It has to be a blast to ride.

Cyclone,

No reason it should be hard to kick start. Using flibuoy's stats, a 164ci engine divided by 6 cylinders works out to 27 1/3 ci per cylinder. A 96ci Harley v-twin works out to 48ci per cylinder. Assuming similar compression ratios, it should be easier to get a cylinder to light off.

I'd like to know how he mated a kick starter to a car engine in the first place.?! It is an impressive conversion!

Steve R.
