Yes I'm very interested in big bore + stroker + big cams. The Harley will never compete with the jap's metrics, but at least you can modify your ride so it's more powerful than other HDs.

There is a sticker on my helmet that says "if you want more inchs, just stroke it" but in your case I would recommend a big bore kit. to increase the stroke of an engine you are actually slowing down the engine (ie: it takes longer to rev up the rpms) if you shorten (destroke) an engine you increase the take off, making the rpms come up quicker, but you are losing volume on the cylinders. In my option I would only change the stroke if I was primarly racing the bike and needed the extra top end, or quick take off. The other method of increasing the take off would be to swap the pulleys to a larger pully on the rear wheel, then the smaller pulley on the tranny output shaft.

Been boring and stroking these twins over 35 yrs getting bigger each time.Doing all the work myself, without a doubt it was worth every penny.I did find what I was looking for, this latest bike has the capacity to scare the livin crap out of me.Oh, how I crave that rush!! All of you that want it should go after it,Trust me,you would never regret it.

Doing a 97" in my 01 88TC this winter in my basement, was gona go bigger but the cost would be equal to the value of the bike so just doing a smaller upgrade....
