Do you know this situation in Japan?

Hi all.
Do you know all exhaust mufflers on Harley Davidson in Japan are more quiet than your country's one?
The restriction of sounds is severe here Japan.
So almost all bike riders often change their mufflers to another one.
Of course there are so many type of them in the market and most of them are loud.
So people who are not interested in bikes hate the sound.
As for me, I will change mine to US genuine muffler.
It is not so loud and I don't want neighborhood to hate me. Ha ha
Although the muffler I will change is drilled widely....
What do you think about this?
PS.
My English is probably not so good. Pardon me.

Good to see a post from a Japanese person on here. I was beginning to feel lonely. I'm an American living in Japan, though.
I don't mean to butt in or hijack Nori's thread, but I do believe that (in my part of Japan, anyway) the noise ordinances aren't quite as strict some cities in America. 94db is the max, I think, although my bike does well over 100db. Cops don't do anything about it around here, though. Never been stopped. Been parked right next to patrol cars or motorcycle cops at red lights and they just look on with respect (or maybe it's envy). BTW, Harleys are the most coveted bike in Japan, indeed, in all of Asia for that matter.
They do have a 3-tiered system here: small (up to 125cc), medium (up to 400cc) and large (401cc and over). The fee for the mandatory classes for large bikes is exhorbitant (about $2,000 if you already have a car license), long (32hrs) and difficult, to say the least. Many don't pass the driving exam, even after 32 hrs of classes.
Nice Train, Nori, and your English is great! Maybe we can meet up one of these days and go for a ride.

Your English is better than most people's English who only know that language.
Get yourself some loud mufflers and make a statement (just don't wake up Godzilla).
By the way, I am a HUGE Zatoichi fan!
RIP Katsushin!
