Riding Gloveless
#21
In Iowa, I'll ride until it gets down to 40 degrees. On a bike thats cold, especially without gloves! Once it warms up though, I take them off. I find that I'm not as good with my clutch with them on. Part of that may be because I'm a relatively new rider.

We haven't had a 50* day for at least a month now...
Now it time for all the warmer climate riders to start rubbing it in.......
I was gentle for them bit(hing in July and Aug about it being 110... next year I am changing my post...

Living and riding year round here in South Florida I rarely wear gloves, only because I hate getting "Mickey Mouse" hands. Arms tanned and hands pasty white. That changes during bug season or if temps get below 70 at night on my FXDC.
On my Gold Wing rides I won't wear gloves 98% of the time, unless I was riding up in the North East.

Ok, my 2 cents worth, #1, I don't wear gloves, reason being is that I can't feel her, I like having my hands on her, just like to know how she's doin', I { F@#k it, I can't explain it} Some of ya will understand what I can't put into words. {White knuckle guy in the cariboo,} cole

I usually wear gloves year round because I usually don't wear a helmet. If I go down I can use my protected hands to keep my unprotected head off the pavement.
Seriously, the couple of times that I have gone down on a scoot I have never hit my head but have damaged my hand, or gloves if wearing them. This is just my experience; yours may vary.
